iPhone is a polarising device. Most people who have used it swear by it. Those who don’t, tend to think it’s an overhyped cell phone. But one thing both parties are likely to agree with is that the prices are exorbitant.
Recently, Apple launched its 10th-anniversary phone—iPhone X— whose 64 GB variant will be priced at Rs 89,000 in India. This is 39% over its price in the US at $999.
This was obviously going to start some ‘sell your kidney’ jokes, but comedy group AIB did something better. Taking snapshots from the iPhone X ad, the group edited a video which voices out most of what we’re thinking. Here’s a glimpse:
“Durable glass? It will still break”
“The cord will break, hence, wireless charging”
“Lots of technology words”
“The most cliched chip which is waaay out of our budget”
Warning: don’t be drinking water because you’re sure to splash it down your front laughing.

This spoof video is similar to the one AIB did in 2016 when iPhone 7 was announced. The 2016 video also edited the original ad (which was full of snappy, fast edits) and republished it, calling out the debatable over-hyping.
