The News Minute | February 25, 2015 | 11:56 am IST RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat had recently raked a controversy after he alleged that Mother Teresa's main objective behind her services to the poor was to convert them to Christianity.  His remarks caused an uproar, with the Mother Teresa's Missionary of Charity even calling him "ill informed".  However some, including the Shiv Sena and BJP's Meenakshi Lekhi, have voiced their agreement with Bhagwat's statement.  Lekhi on Tuesday said that Mother Teresa had herself in an interview said that "a lot of people confuse me as social worker, I am not a social worker. I am in the service of Jesus and my job is to spread the word of Christianity and bring people to its fold", states a report by The Indian Express.  Her remarks seems to have irked Bollywood actor Dia Mirza who on Tuesday tweeted,  Shame on you #MeenakshiLekhi you contort personal faith/work to validate a statement that should be condemned. #MotherTeresa — Dia Mirza (@deespeak) February 24, 2015 Actually you know what? I am ashamed. Of our thoughts, our actions and our words. #MotherTeresa — Dia Mirza (@deespeak) February 24, 2015 To which, Lekhi was quick to respond, @deespeak Shame on you for not having the robustness to face the facts or accept the truth! — Meenakashi Lekhi (@M_Lekhi) February 24, 2015 Dia Mirza then said,  “@M_Lekhi: @deespeak Shame on you for not having the robustness to face the facts or accept the truth!” I hang my head in shame. — Dia Mirza (@deespeak) February 24, 2015 However, the actor seemed to be hounded by social media trolls for voicing her dissent.  The trolls are out and hard at work :) — Dia Mirza (@deespeak) February 24, 2015 Tweet Follow @thenewsminute
