The title of Darshan’s 53rd film will be revealed on December 25 to coincide with Christmas, say sources. After the star’s film with director Tharun Sudhir was announced a few weeks ago, it raised a lot of speculations. Finally, we hear from sources close to the film unit that the title of this project will be revealed on Christmas and the official pooja will also be held on the same day.

When the film was announced, it was revealed that Darshan’s character in it is named Robert but the director put an end to all guesswork and clarified that the character will have nothing to do with the star’s cameo role in Chowka. The prep work for this untitled film has been going on for a few months now and the shooting will reportedly commence in January next year.

In the meantime, Darshan is expecting the release of two of his films – both Kurukshetra and Yajamana are in the final stages of post-production and may get a release soon.

Darshan plays Duryodhana in Kurukshetra, which is a historical based on the epic Mahabharata and the story is told from his perspective. One of the most expensive films to ever be made in the Kannada film industry, Kurukshetra is bankrolled by Muniratna under his banner KCN Movies. The historical has a bevy of stars in the cast including Ambareesh, Arjun Sarja, V Ravichandran, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Sneha, Hariprriya, Meghana Raj and P Ravi Shankar.

In Yajamana, he plays the lead while Rashmika Mandanna plays the lead opposite him along with Tanya Hope as the second heroine. Dhananjay, Thakur Anoop Singh and Devaraj will be seen playing significant roles in this flick. Bankrolled by Shylaja Nag and B Suresha, the film is being directed by Pon Kumaran.
