Tammannah Bhatia is excited about being cast as the female lead in the Telugu remake of Queen. The actor will be seen reprising the role done by Kangna Ranaut in the original Hindi version.

On getting to work in the remake, Tammannah was quoted as saying, “Queen was a conscious decision, to be honest. I want to focus on doing films that put emphasis on the mature screenplay as well as women-oriented scripts. I'm very drawn to the state of self-discovery as every woman goes through different stages of realisation and at times you want to sit back and reflect back on your life decisions. I think Kangana was pitch perfect in the film and established the fact that she is much more than a pretty face.”

Interestingly, the Tamil remake went on the floors recently with Kajal Aggarwal roped in for the main lead role. For the Malayalam version, it will be Manjima Mohan.

Veteran actor and director Ramesh Aravind is directing the Kannada version with Parul Yadav in the lead and he will be wielding the megaphone for the Tamil version titled Paris Paris as well.

Helming the affairs for the Tamil version as its director would be Neelakanta. An acclaimed director, he made his debut with the Tamil movie Priyanka, the remake of the Hindi flick Damini in 1994 and went to direct the Telugu movie Show, which won two National Awards. His next directorial Missamma won three Nandi Awards, an honour bestowed by the Andhra Government.

The Queen remakes also have Amy Jackson playing an important role. Interestingly, she will be seen in all the four versions. Amit Trivedi will be composing the tunes for the Telugu version with Sathya Hegde handling the camera.
