Director VV Vinayak is still enjoying the success of Khaidi No 150, which was megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback venture.
The director recently attended veteran Tollywood star Mohan Babu’s birthday function at his educational institute in Tirupati, which raised speculations that he may go on to direct Mohan Babu’s son Manchu Manoj.
The fact that Manoj and VV Vinayak travelled together from Tirupati to Hyderabad fuelled the rumours.
Putting an end to it, sources close to the director said that such reports are baseless.
Vinayak has attended the birthday event along with a number of film personalities including Ilayaraja and director Krish.
During the birthday celebrations, Mohan Babu’s eldest son Manchu Vishnu’s new film Achari America Yatra was launched.
Commencing the film, the first clap was given by Subbiramireddy and actor Krishnam Raju switched on the camera with popular director K Raghavendra Rao directing the first shot.
Achari America Yatra, touted to be a laugh riot, will be directed by G Nageshwar Rao and produced by Keerthi Chowdary and Kittu.
This is the third time G Nageshwar Rao and Manchu Vishnu are teaming up after the success of Denikaina Ready and Eedo Rakam Ado Rakam.
