Vivo, the Chinese smartphone brand is continuing to flood the Indian market with its models in the sub-20,000 price point. The latest model to be introduced in the Indian market is the Vivo S1. This model has already been launched in China with a slightly different design and specifications and then in other global markets too the company altered the specs. Now it has entered India.

The specifications of the Vivo S1 launched in India are as below:

The phone sports a 6.38-inch full-HD+ super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch display offering a screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and a waterdrop-style notch is provided on the front screen for the selfie camera.

The processor chosen by Vivo for this model is the octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 MT6768 SoC. The processor receives RAM support in two variants, 4GB and 6GB. Internal storage again is offered in two options, 64GB and 128GB. The Android Pie OS with the FunTouch OS 9 user interface runs the phone.

The camera section in the rear has a triple sensor arrangement comprising a 16MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor with a 2MP camera completing the configuration. The front camera for selfies however is a mammoth 32MP one. The technology support to make the photography experience out of this world comes in the form of HDR, Live photo, PDAF, AI super wide-angle, portrait mode, AI portrait framing, Doc mode, Professional mode, AR Stickers, AI Face Beauty, Video Face Beauty, Time-Lapse, Slo-Mo, all for the rear camera setup.

For the front camera on this Vivo S1, the features added are HDR, Live photos, Panorama, Gender detection, Face Beauty, Bokeh, AR Stickers, Selfie Lightning, AI Face Beauty, and Video Face Beauty. Excessive focus on the imaging section you would think.

The smartphone comes fitted with a 4,500mAh battery. The connectivity options are quite dynamic and the onboard sensors include an in-display fingerprint sensor. Skyline Blue and Diamond Black are the colour options.

The pricing in India for the Vivo S1 smartphone starts at Rs 17,990 for the 4GB+128GB variant. You can pick a 6GB+64GB variant at Rs 18,990 and a 6GB+128GB variant at Rs 19,990.
