The Vivo X21 smartphone is getting launched in India on Tuesday laying to rest speculations and expectations. The iPhone X look-alike is being sold exclusively through Flipkart, though the company is accepting orders and a token advance, without disclosing the final price, on its official website.

The Vivo X21 will sport a 6.28-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display (screen resolution: 1080x2280pixels). It would be a full screen display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC will be the processor and there will be 2 RAM variants; 4GB and 6GB. As for the internal storage, the expectation is that there would be 2 variants here too; 64GB and 128GB. There will be a hybrid slot for a microSD card that could enhance this to 259GB. It’s a dual SIM phone.

The latest Android Oreo version 8.1 will be the OS with the FunTouch OS 4.0 being the UI skin over it. It is understood that the beta version of Android P for the Vivo X21 has also been released by Google and the devices might get updated as soon as the full version is out.

The camera section will come with a dual-sensor, 12MP + 5MP setup in the rear and the front camera accommodated within the notch on top will have a 12MP sensor. The front camera will also function as the facial recognition sensor using the Face Wake technology. The battery would be 3200mAh and there would be the fast charging facility as well.

The front camera is capable of 3D mapping and there is the IR fill light to facilitate better selfies even in low light conditions. Classic Blue and Victory Red are expected to the colors in which the Vivo X21 will be made available.

As indicated, Vivo has not disclosed the price at which it plans to sell the phone in the Indian market. But based on the phone’s pricing in China, experts feel the buyers can expect the Vivo X21 to be sold at between Rs 30,000 and Rs 33,000 for the 64GB and 128GB variants respectively.
