Vishal and filmmaker Mysskin had joined hands for the first time for Thupparivaalan, an investigative drama with a Sherlockian style of narrative. In the film, Vishal plays a detective and his character was called Kaniyan Poogundran, modeled after Sherlock Holmes. Actor Prasanna played his sidekick, a character very close to Sherlock’s partner Dr Watson.

Vishal had produced Thupparivaalan and had plans to bankroll its sequel as well. Apparently, it was said Mysskin while directing part 1, had the idea ready for the sequel and was in the writing process. During the release of the first part, in a media interaction, Vishal also confirmed that there will be a sequel to Thupparivaalan and that he plans to continue the franchise.

Recently Director Mysskin has met Vishal on the sets of his ongoing movie with Sundar C in Turkey and narrated the script for the sequel. According to sources, Vishal has given his nod for the script and the shooting of the sequel will commence by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, Vishal is gearing up for the release of Ayogya, the remake of Telugu film Temper next month. Directed by Venkat Mohan, the film also stars Raashi Khanna.

Ayogya is produced by B Madhu under his banner Light House Movie Maker. The technical crew of Ayogya includes Sam CS for music composition, while the cinematography and editing are by VI Karthik of Thupparivaalan fame and Anthony L Ruben respectively.

It may be noted, Vishal was severely injured while shooting an action sequence for  Sundar C’s film at Cappadocia, Turkey. Choreographed by Anbariv, the actor got tossed along with ATV bike which turned out to be a shock for the entire crew.

The untitled project is produced by Trident Arts R Ravindran and has Tamannaah and Aishwarya Lekshmi playing the female lead. This movie marks Sundar C's third collaboration with Vishal after the unreleased Madha Gaja Raja and Aambala. This will also be the second time for Vishal and Tammannah who first shared the screen space together in Kaththi Sandai.
