An elated Vineeth Sreenivasan posted on social networking sites that he and his wife Divya are now the proud parents of a baby boy. Vineeth had tweeted: “It’s a baby boy for divya and i.”

Vineeth married Divya Narayanan on October 18th, 2012 after an eight-year courtship. The couple had met while at the KCG College of Technology in Chennai.

Son of veteran actor Sreenivasan and brother of Dhyan Sreenivasan, Vineeth made his directorial debut with the 2010 release Malarvadi Arts Club. He then went on to direct Thattathin Marayathu, Thira, and Jacobinte Swargarajyam. Vineeth has also produced a film called Aanandam.

Apart from directing and producing films, Vineeth has also acted in movies such as Makante Achan, Cycle, Chappa Kurishu, Traffic, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, Jacobinte Swargarajyam, Oru Cinemakkaran and Oru Second Class Yathra.

Vineeth, an accomplished filmmaker and actor, had said in a recent interview that his biggest wish is to direct the Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and his dad Sreenivasan in a full length role. In his interview to Kochi Times, Vineeth said, “One of my biggest wishes though is to direct my father in a full-length role. I have directed him in Malarvaadi Arts Club and Thattathin Marayathu but I want to direct him in a central role in a film that you don't expect from him. I have had discussions with writers for such a film but nothing has materialised yet.”

Vineeth’s latest release, Oru Cinemakkaran, which was directed by Leo Thaddeus and produced by Thomas Panicker, has received positive response. Released on June 24th, the film had Rajisha Vijayan, Ranji Panicker, Joy Mathew, Vijay Babu, Lal and Sasi Kalinga in the star cast.
