Actor Vikram, who currently awaits the release of Kamal Haasan produced Kadaram Kondan, will next join hands with director Ajay Gnanamuthu for a yet-untitled action-thriller project.
The project was officially announced on Monday and will be currently dubbed as Chiyaan Vikram 54. To be produced 7 Screen Studio in association with Viacom 18 Studios, the project will go on the floors from August 2019 and the makers plan to release it on April 2020.

The makers also unveiled the first look poster on Monday that shows the multiple avatars of Vikram in this flick via a black and white comic art poster. There are rumours that Vikram might be seen playing a photographer in the film which will be an out-and-out action-thriller.
“This film will be a Pan-Indian project catering to the Tamil, Hindi and Telugu audience. It will be produced on a massive scale in association with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The cast and technicians will have big names of all industries collaborating for this film,” read a statement from the makers.
The project marks the first-time collaboration between Vikram and Ajay, who is best known for helming Demonte Colony and last year’s Imaikka Nodigal starring Nayanthara. Talking about the project, Ajay told Times of India earlier, “The only thing I can divulge right now is that Vikram’s role will be a challenging one. Of course, he has always taken up challenging roles, but I think this one will be better than all of those.”
He also denied approaching Anurag Kashyap with yet another offer to play the antagonist after he played a menacing character in Imaikka Nodigal, which also starred Atharvaa and Raashi Khanna.
Vikram’s last release was Samy Square in 2018 and he currently has Kadaram Kondan, long pending project Dhruva Natchathiram. Mahavir Karna which is a bilingual project is on the floors as well.
Kadaram Kondan is directed by Rajesh Selva and bankrolled by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The film has Vikram and Kamal’s daughter Akshara Haasan as the lead pair.
