The Vijay starrer Mersal has three leading ladies in the star cast – Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen. And now, we hear that there is a latest addition to the star cast and it is Meesha Ghoshal of Raja Rani and 7am Arivu fame. The actor has finished dubbing for her portions as well.
Confirming her inclusion to the star cast, Meesha had posted on a social networking site: “Late update but ya here it is, finished #mersal dubbing a few days back nd eagerly waiting for the release.”
Sources in tinsel town say that Meesha will be seen playing a doctor in the film.
Mersal is a period action thriller that is being directed by Atlee. The high budget film is produced by N Ramasamy, Hema Rukmani, R Mahendran and H Murali under the banner Thenandal Studio Limited.
The technical crew of the film includes AR Rahman for music, GK Vishnu for cinematography and Ruben for editing. The film has an impressive line up of stars which includes SJ Suryah, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Kovai Sarala, Rajendran, Sathyan, Yogi Babu, Hareesh Peradi and Cheenu Mohan.
Vijay plays triple roles in the film and according to sources, he will be seen as Doctor Ruben, Magician Thomas and village head Sarath Kumar.
While the story of the film has been penned by Atlee and KV Vijayendra Prasad, the screenplay has been done by Atlee, KV Vijayendra Prasad and S Ramana Girivasan. The dialogues have been written by Atlee and S Ramana Girivasan. Touted to hit the silver screens for Deepavali next month, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
Mersal’s pre-release business has been very good with the distribution rights for almost all areas getting sold out like hot cakes.
