Actress-politician Vijayashanti and megastar Chiranjeevi are known for working together in several memorable Telugu films such as Swayam Krushi, Gang Leader, Yamudiki Mogudu and Kondaveeti Donga among others. In a career spanning over 15 years, she has worked with Chiranjeevi in 19 films and according to the grapevine, they might team up for the 20th time. Reportedly, Vijayashanti, who was also known for her action avatar in a few films over the years, has been approached with the offer of a pivotal role in Chiranjeevi’s 150th film.
According to a source, Vijayashanti has shown interest in being a part of the project. However, she is yet to officially sign on the dotted line.
Having successfully completed the first schedule of the project, the makers are busy finalizing the female lead before the commencement of the second schedule. Although it was rumoured that Jagapathi Babu plays the antagonist; however, a source confirmed that the team is yet to zero in on him.
Being directed by V.V Vinayak, the film is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi. Tentatively titled Kathilantodu, it’s being produced by Ram Charan in collaboration with Lyca Productions.
