A man was caught on camera in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam, chasing a policeman and a security guard with a 'sword' and causing ruckus, in an allegedly inebriated condition. While there was initial panic, the police later realised that it was a dummy sword.
The police said that the incident had taken place on November 17, when they received a call from a security guard of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) Children's Theatre in the city.
The accused, identified as 40-year-old Sai, was reported to be a pushcart vendor from Gajuwaka, who was staying in Peda Gantyada.
He was reportedly blocking the entrance of an apartment with his cart, and refused to move it when confronted. As he was in an inebriated condition, he picked up an argument with the security guards nearby and even assaulted one of them, forcing them to call the police.
Several locals also gathered soon, as the accused was creating a huge ruckus. When the police arrived, he pulled out what looked like a knife and tried to attack them.
The video shows a group of people gathered around him, even as he raises the 'sword' above his head and charges at a policeman who backs away. He then stumbles around, creating a ruckus, as other people look on.
