India’s space budget is actually double that of the United Kingdom’s according to a report in The Independent.

Figures compiled by the British newspaper show that India’s space programme for the year 2013 cost 638 million pounds while the UK’s expenditure in this area was 323 million pounds.

Both countries are at the bottom of the list of 10 highest spenders on space programmes. The country which spends the most in the world on space programmes is obviously the United States of America, but the second on the list is the Russian Federal Space Agency, the Roscosmos.

The third on the list is the European Union’s space agency, followed by France’s CNES. For a full list of who spends how much, refer to the graph on The Independent report.
