Casting couch is one of the most controversial aspects of the entertainment industry, but more often than not, goes unconfirmed and underreported too.
Bollywood actress Tisca Chopra has broken the chain of silence however, and at a Kommune storytelling event, spoke about her own experience with a director she (aptly) names RP, short for ‘Reptile’.
She recounts how when she was out of work after her debut film, RP calls her and offers to sign her for a big Bollywood production.
And while Tisca is warned by many friends how the actresses he signs are his “bed squeeze” for the duration of the shoot, she goes ahead with the project anyway.
