After the phenomenal success of Veeram and Vedalam, actor Ajith Kumar is teaming up with director Siruthai Siva for the third time in a row. While this proposed project has been in the news over the last few months, confirmation on it has finally been given by certain sources.
The makers of the film are scheduled to meet Ajith on Thursday to complete formalities for the project, which will be kick-started from July. The first schedule of shooting for the film is slated to be done in Australia.
The pre-production work on the project is said to have begun a few months ago. While the project was originally slated to go on the floors in April, the schedule had to be pushed by a few months as Ajith needed time to recover fully from his recent knee and shoulder surgery. Siva is busy finalizing the rest of the cast including the female lead.
As things stand, composer Anirudh Ravichander, who had previously worked on Vedalam, is set to reunite with the team. The producers have also offered Santhanam a role in the film, but since he is busy with other projects it is as yet unclear if he will accept the offer.
Sources indicate that this film too might have a title starting with the letter “V”, since the team feels a sentimental attachment to the letter after the success of Veeram and Vedalam.
