Several groups reached the Gun Park memorial and paid tributes to the martyrs of Telangana struggle. Gun park memorial is a monument situated in Hyderabad in memory of 369 students who died during the 1969 agitation for a separate Telangana state. In was in 1969 that the Telangana struggle first started as an uprising by government employees and students of the Osmania University.
