Leaders of the Telangana Advocates JAC leaders on Sunday lodged a police complaint against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu claiming that he was trying to create a rift between the two Telugu speaking states.

The complaint by the lawyers came as a backlash after the AP government allegedly issued a circular to remove all content related to notable people and places of Telangana from the textbooks used in the state.

According to the Deccan Chronicle, the complainants alleged that the AP government had issued an order to remove parts mentioning Telangana tribal women warriors Sammakka and Saralamma and some other parts mentioning other historical figures.

The complaint lodged with the Saroornagar police, demands that a case be registered against Naidu.

"We have made a general diary (GD) entry of the complaint," Saroornagar inspector S Lingaiah told the Times of India.
