The News Minute | December 5, 2014 | 8:40 am IST Telugu Desam Party MP Mutamsetti Srinivasa Rao on Thursday in the Lok Sabha, put forward the problems faced by Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation and asked the Central government to adopt the state. Srinivasa Rao in an address to the Lok Sabha said that AP had a deficit of 15,000 crore with no capital, no industries, no educational institutions and no income generating avenues as of now. He also added that the only solution was for the centre to adopt AP. Rao also added that the farmers in the state were “depressed”, because crops of sugarcane, paddy, cashew and mango were severely damaged during Cyclone Hudhud. According to a report in The Indian Express, he also suggested that a “movement” was building up along the Andhra Pradesh-Orissa border that needed to be checked. He also added that extreme situations would leave them with no choice but to commit suicide or revert to naxalism.
