Tamannaah, despite the success of Baahubali: The Conclusion at the box office, is distressed.

With reports surfacing that she is upset with director SS Rajamouli for chopping her role in the film, Tamannaah sought to clarify that the rumours were not true.

In an interview, the actor said that such rumours were baseless and she would remain grateful to the director for casting her in the film.

While Tamannaah had a larger role in Baahubali: The Beginning, in the sequel, it was Anushka Shetty who hogged the limelight as she was given prominence.

Tamannaah has said that she knew about her role in Baahubali: The Conclusion and had no qualms over it when she signed on the dotted lines.

In an interview with The Hindustan Times, Tamannaah was quoted as saying, “This is imagination of somebody who is very jobless. I am and will always be thankful to Rajamouli sir for casting me as Avantika. This news is baseless and I am very happy that I worked in this film.”

On her role being cut, Tamannaah added, “I always knew what my role was. I have great respect for Rajamouli sir and I am proud to be part of such a cult film. This film has changed my life as an actor and has absolutely raised the bar for everyone in the film industry.”

Being declared a colossal hit, Baahubali: The Conclusion has broken all records to gross Rs. 1000 crore at the box office. In fact, it is the first Indian film to reach the Rs. 1000 crore club.

The film has been directed by SS Rajamouli and with Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni producing it under the banner Arka Media Works.

The film has Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka, Tamannaah, Nasser, Sathyaraj and others in the star cast.
