It is going to be a ladies' special for Suriya’s fans out there in Kerala. Yes, the Suriya Fans and Welfare Association State Committee and V-1000 Lovers Ladies Unit have planned for a special show exclusively for women on the release of the star’s upcoming film Thaana Serntha Kootam.
It is well known that Suriya enjoys huge popularity across Kerala and his fan base over there is extensive. However, this is the first time a special show for the women is being screened. Interestingly, this special show will be held on the same day as the film releases.
Reported to be a heist comedy, Thaana Serntha Kootam stars Suriya and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair with Karthik in an important role. The star cast also includes Ramya Krishnan, Bramhanandam, Nandha, Kalaiyarasan, Senthil and RJ Balaji in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for this film with Dinesh Krishnan wielding the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing it.
The film, directed by Vignesh Shivan, is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green and distributed by 24AM Studios. Thaana Serntha Kootam is gearing up to hit the marquee on January 12th as a Pongal special. According to reports, this film is an adaptation of the Hindi movie Special 26 which had Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles and is set in the backdrop of incidents that happened in late 1980s.
It may be mentioned here that director Vignesh Shivan’s last outing Naanum Rowdy Thaan, a black comedy, had Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Both the director as well as the female lead in it went on to win several awards.
