There were reports that Suriya had completed a major portion of the Selvaraghavan-directorial NGK before moving over to the KV Anand’s untitled film. Now, we hear that the star is gearing up to move over to the NGK sets later this month.

Sources in the know say that Suriya is growing back his beard as demanded by his role in NGK (Nandha Gopalan Kumaran) and will be joining the sets for a wrap-up. According to producer SR Prabhu, the shoot will be wrapped in a few weeks. However, he isn’t sure how much time the post-production process will take. The NGK team is expected to complete the schedule in two weeks. After completing this schedule, the star will revert to the KV Anand directorial, which also has the Malayalam megastar Mohanlal and Arya playing pivotal roles.

NGK stars Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi as heroines and has Meera, Jagapathi Babu and Bala Singh playing the supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the tunes for the film and Siva Kumar Vijayan is cranking the camera with Praveen KL in charge of the editing.

It may be noted here that the first look poster of NGK raked up the curiosity levels of the film buffs and the second poster has upped it even higher. The industry grapevine is that the film could be a political drama and Suriya may play a leader.

A political drama that is being directed by Selvaraghavan, the film is being bankrolled by S R Prakashbabu and S R Prabhu under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures. Reliance Entertainment has bagged the distribution rights of the film. While the first poster of NGK was released on March 5 this year, the second poster was out to commemorate Suriya’s birthday on July 23. With the film nearing completion, its release date is expected to be announced soon officially.
