Vijay Sethupathi's recent release Super Deluxe opened to rave reviews and still has the audience talking about it. Released by Y Not X, the movie is all set to be remade soon in Bollywood, with Kumararaja himself directing it.
Now, the movie is all set to receive international recognition. The film will be screened at the prestigious 23rd Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN). The festival will take place from June 27 to July 7, 2019, in Bucheon city, Korea.

The film saw Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, Fahadh Faasil, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin, Bagavathy Perumal and Gayathrie Sankar among others, as part of its cast.
The film had Vijay Sethupathi playing a trans woman, a role that was well received by the audience and critics. On taking up the role, he reportedly told in a press interaction, “I didn’t act as a trans woman for the sake of winning awards. When director Thiagarajan Kumararaja narrated the script of Super Deluxe, he asked me to take a week’s time and decide if I wanted to play the particular role but I told him that whenever he directs the film, I would play Shilpa. I didn’t meet anyone to prepare for my role but considered myself a trans woman to perform in the film. Our society looks at trans people as a curse but they are just like any one of us.”
Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director of the film. Directors Nalan Kumarasamy, Neelan K Sekar and Mysskin have written the additional screenplay for this film. The film was released in theatres on 29 March 2019 and received universal acclaim.
