The News Minute | December 12, 2014 | 11.36 pm IST The state BJP is miffed with Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa’s decision to suspend its MLA Prabhu Chavan for a day for looking at a photo of Priyanka Gandhi during the ongoing Assembly session. Aurad MLA Chavan was zooming in to a photo of Gandhi during the Assembly proceedings at Belagavi, where the winter session began on December 9. Television cameras which caught the MLA looking at the photo played the visuals repeatedly on Thursday.  On Friday, Kagodu Thimmappa suspended his participation the Assembly proceedings for a day. A delegation of BJP leaders led by Jagadish Shettar met with the Speaker. Shettar later told reporters that despite being pained at the decision, the party would abide by it.
