The makers of the upcoming Tamil movie Kadaram Kondan came up with an interesting “Guess the Person” contest a few days ago. The contest was for movie buffs to guess the singer of the first single from the album that is to release on May 1. While there were a lot of guesses, it has been revealed that the answer is Shruti Haasan.

The actor-singer disclosed this herself on social media. Posting a video, she tweeted: “Yes its me!! How excited are you for this one? #KadaramKondan #KKSingleMay1st @ikamalhaasan #ChiyaanVikram @RajeshMSelva @GhibranOfficial @AksharaHasaan1 @AbiHassan_ @Muzik247in @tridentartsoffl @Cinemainmygenes.”

Directed by Rajesh Selva, Kadaram Kondan is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The film stars Vikram and Akshara Haasan, Kamal’s daughter and Shruti’s sister, in the lead roles.

Earlier, a poster stirred up a hornet’s nest over the release of Kadaram Kondan. It claimed that the film would be released on May 21. However, Trident Arts, the production house bankrolling the project, was quick to come out with a clarification, while it was also found that the poster was fan-made.

Besides playing the hero in this action thriller, Vikram will also be rendering a song. Reports say that it is a motivational track and music composer Ghibran had wanted the star to do the playback singing to which he readily agreed. The post-production is happening full swing right now.

The technical crew, besides Ghibran for music direction, includes Srinivas R Gutha for cinematography and Praveen KL for editing.

While Vikram’s previous release was Saamy Square last year, currently he has Dhruva Natchathiram and Mahavir Karna in his kitty. Dhruva Natchathiram, a high-budget spy thriller written and directed by Gautham Menon, also has Simran, R Parthiepan, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma in the star cast.

In Mahavir Karna, a bilingual project directed by RS Vimal, Vikram plays the title role and is preparing himself to get into the skin of the character. The project went on the floors recently in Ramoji Filmcity, Hyderabad. It is again a high-budget movie, bankrolled by United Film Kingdom on a budget of Rs 300 crore.
