The first look poster of the Shane Nigam starrer QALB is out. Releasing the first look, Sajid Yahiya had told Cinemaexpress, “I have been after this dream for the past two years. It’s a small story of human relationships, love and friendship, told from the depth of my qalb (heart).” This is the first time the director and actor are collaborating and have come out with an interesting subject. Sajid and Suhail Koya have penned the script for the story.  

The technical crew of QALB includes Sudeep Elamon of Finals and Pathinettam Padi fame handling the camera, and the National award winner Vinesh Banglan taking care of the production design. The film will hit the marquee for Eid 2020. 

Shane Nigam is currently busy with Valiya Perunal, directed by Dimal Dennies. This film is in the post-production mode. He is also shooting for another Malayalam film titled Ullasam, directed by Jeevan Jojo.

It has been reported recently that veteran cinematographer and director Venu has roped in Shane Nigam for a realistic thriller that he is to direct. In the movie, we hear that Shane Nigam will be playing the role of an IT professional. GR Indugopan is scripting the film which has not been titled yet. Reports are that the shooting will begin during the first week of April and the preparations for it are on now.

Shane Nigam’s last film release was Oolu, which was released on September 20. It is a fantasy film directed by Shaji N Karun and written by T D Ramakrishnan. The film had Indrans, Kani Kusruti, and Esther Anil in the lead role besides Shane Nigam. Oolu, which was produced by A V Anoop, was the opening film at the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) last year. It was also screened at a few other major film festivals before its theatrical release in India.
