Do you see a humanoid figure on what otherwise looks like a piece of rock? Do you believe aliens exist and we have sufficient evidence to prove it, but our governments' are intentionally hiding it from the public?  Well, if yes, you are one curious cat. In 1976, a photograph taken on the surface of Mars became iconic because of the uncanny resemblance of a part of the rocky surface to the face of a human being. It came to be known as the Mars Man. Many theories sprouted up regarding what it actually could be, even after NASA said that it was just an optical illusion.  A video on Slate attempts to explain the evolution of the theory around the Mars Man and our insatiable thirst to know and believe in the extra-terrestrial.
