Los Angeles: Accusations of sexual assault continued to pile up this week against comedian and actor Bill Cosby as five more women made public cases of alleged sexual assault that took place during the 1970s and 1980s.

At a press conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday, famed attorney Gloria Allred presented three of Cosby's alleged victims who narrated how the actor drugged them and took liberties while they were unconscious, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

One of the women, Beth Ferrier said she had an affair with the actor for months.

Another woman who called herself "Chelan" said she lay on a bed with Cosby after taking a pill which he gave her, lost consciousness and woke up without any idea of what had happened.

"Daddy says wake up," the woman narrated, adding that Cosby gave her $1,500.

Former model Janice Dickinson told CNN on Tuesday that during a dinner in 1982, he had given her a pill to alleviate menstruation pains, after which she remembered falling unconscious with Cosby on top of her.

Another woman accused the actor of sexually assaulting her at the Los Angeles Playboy mansion when she was 15.

The cases add up to over a dozen such accusations against the comedian, who in 2006 made an extrajudicial settlement with Andrea Constand after she reported being drugged and raped by him.

Accusations against Cosby include incidents that go as far back as 1965, meaning many of those charges cannot now be prosecuted due to statute of limitations.

Allred has challenged the actor to give up this legal protection and face the charges if he really wished to prove his innocence.

She also asked Cosby to set up a $100,000 fund for compensating the women who could prove having been sexually abused by him in court.

Neither Cosby nor his representatives have responded to the allegations, though the actor resigned from Temple University's board of directors so as not to harm the interests of the university or its students.

On Twitter this week, Cosby thanked actress Whoopi Goldberg who said she was sceptical of the mounting accusations against him.
