The actor is best known for her work in Kannada industry in films such as 'Jackpot', 'Ram-Leela' and 'Dandupalya 2'.

Actor Sanjjanaa Galrani, best known for her work in Kannada industry in films such as Jackpot, Ram-Leela and Dandupalya 2, will be making her Tamil debut opposite Arun Vijay in upcoming action-based thriller Boxer.

The film, which will be directed by Vivek, was officially launched on Friday and it also stars Ritika Singh as a sports journalist. The project is slated to go on the floors from next month.

Talking about her role and how she landed the opportunity, Sanjjanaa told Times of India: “I am not allowed to reveal details about my character, but yes, you will get to see the action side of me. The team had seen clippings of Swarna Khadgam, in which I play a warrior princess (it is a mega-budget television series). My role will see me practicing boxing. The team felt that I have that extra strength and ability in a woman to carry off this role. They narrated my portions and I loved it.”

Sanjjanaa went on to reveal that her knowledge in various sporting activities worked in her favor.

The team is currently finalising the rest of the cast and crew and are most likely to go on the floors in a couple of months.  It’s worth mentioning that Arun Vijay has, over the last few months, shared pictures and videos of his aggressive workout sessions and going by the effort, it looks like it could all be for Boxer.

Arun is currently shooting for upcoming action thriller Agni Siragugal, which also stars Vijay Antony in a pivotal role.
