Sandalwood actor Parul Yadav, who is gearing up for the Kannada remake of the Bollywood film “Queen”, was attacked by stray dogs on Monday.

According to The New Indian Express, the incident occurred on Monday evening near her Mumbai apartment, when the actor was out to walk her pet dog. Six stray dogs reportedly attacked the actor when she tried to save her pet dog from the strays.

The 34-year-old actor, who sustained multiple bites with severe wounds on her face, legs and neck, is currently being treated at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, the report states.

Parul’s sister told media persons on Tuesday, that the actor sustained a 3 cm deep cut on her head, for which, she is likely to undergo surgery on Wednesday.

Parul debuted in Kannada with Pawan Wadeyar’s Govindaya Namaha in the year 2012 and later went on to act in several films including Bachchan, Uppi2, Vaastu  Prakara, and Killing Veerappan.

Bollywood film "Queen" is being remade in four South Indian languages and Parul has reportedly bagged Kangana Ranaut’s role in the Kannada remake of the film. 

Parul has appeared in a number of regional films including Krithyam, Black Dalia in Malayalam and Dreams, Pulan Visaranai 2 in Tamil.
