Lingusamy, known for helming films like “Sandakozhi” and “Anjaan”, recently released a book of Haiku poetry in Tamil. A traditional style of Japanese poetry, Haikus typically consist of three lines arranged in specific rhythm patterns. The director now plans to release the poems in other languages including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and English.

Having already translated the poems into English, he’s in talks with a leading publishing house to publish them. In Telugu, he plans to approach filmmaker Trivikram to help in the translation.

Apparently, Lingusami has penned around 100 poems over the course of last two decades and he says the process has helped in keeping his creative juices flowing.

On the career front, he’s currently busy with the pre-production work on “Sandakozhi 2”, which will see him reunite with Vishal after a decade.
