Bollywood's elite rally around actor while others celebrate judiciary's unbiased decision

After actor Salman Khan was convicted and sentenced to five years by the Mumbai Session’s court on Wednesday, in the 2002 hit-and-run case, people took to Twitter to express their displeasure at the verdict, to celebrate the judiciary for their fairness or to take a dig at the actor. Members of the Bollywood elite, including, Hema Malini and Shakti Kapoor, released statements showing their support. Salman's close friend Farah Khan, his younger sister Arpita Khan Sharma, and actor Ritesh Deshmukh also tweeted their solidarity.
