Having recently completed its 50-day run in cinemas, Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami starrer Bogan is all set to be remade in Telugu.

Apparently, the film’s Telugu version is most likely to star Ravi Teja and it will be directed by Lakshman again. While nothing has been made official yet, sources indicate that talks have been initiated with Ravi Teja and he seems to be interested.

A source close to the development said, “The script for the Telugu version has been locked. The makers plan to commence regular shooting from August. Ravi Teja will reprise Jayam Ravi’s role. It is not sure whether Arvind Swami will be approached for the same role as the team has plans to rope in another popular actor. Another reason being, Arvind while promoting Bogan, had said he might not consider starring in the film’s remake.”

The source also added that the climax will be tweaked for the Telugu version and the story will be made even more emotional. Ravi Teja is currently shooting for Touch Chesi Chudu in which he has teamed up debutant director Vikram Sirikonda. The film also stars Lavanya Tripathi and Raashi Khanna, and it’s tipped to be a full-length entertainer.
