We can always meet with an accident. You cannot go against nature’s will,” he said. A 14-year old girl and her mother were allegedly molested and thrown out of the running bus while they were travelling from Moga to Baghapurana. The mother was seriously injured while the girl succumbed to injuries. The family of the victim declined a compensation of Rs 20 lakh, a government job for her mother, her free treatment and a trial of the case in a fast track court, offered by the government. Indian Express has reported that the victim’s body is at the mortuary of Civil Hospital, Moga and her family has refused to allow a post-mortem and cremation until a case is registered against Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal, the owner of Orbit Company to which the bus belonged. Conductor Sukhminder Singh, cleaner Gurdip Singh, driver Ranjit Singh, and another accused Amarjit Singh had been arrested.
