There have been enough speculations about Ram Charan and Sukumar’s upcoming film right from the time the project was announced earlier this year.
Putting it all to rest, the star has announced that it has been titled Rangasthalam 1985. Speaking about the release date of his period saga, Ram Charan posted on a social networking site that it would be out at the theatres for Sankaranti next year.
His post reads, “Coming in my favourite season. ‘RANGASTHALAM’. Sankaranthi 2018.”
Set in the backdrop of the Godavari belt, the film is touted to be a romantic entertainer that has Ram Charan and Samantha playing the lead pair.
'Mega Star' Chiranjeevi launched the movie in February this year and it went on to the floors in April. The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace right now.
Rangasthalam also has Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapati Babu and Rambha in pivotal roles. Presented by Sureka Konidela, the film is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Mohan Cherukuri, Chiranjeevi, and Ram Charan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers.
It will be distributed by Konidela Production Company. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for this flick with P Rathnavelu cranking the camera and Naveen Nooli editing.
In Rangasthalam, Ram Charan plays a village youth and has undergone a complete makeover to fit into the role. While he has been seen in stylish avatars in all his films till now, fans are eager to see him play a local.
Further, this is the first time Ram Charan and Samantha are pairing up on the silver screens, which is another reason for their respective fans to look forward to the film.
