Actor and Tollywood mega star Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan who is bankrolling his dad's magnum opus film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy said during a recent media interaction that Sye Raa is a dream project of his father.

“Once my dad told me, “You sported the warrior costume in your second film Magadheera, But I have completed 150 films but didn’t get an opportunity to play such a character in my life.” He actually envied about my role in Magadheera and from that day, I wanted to produce a film like Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy to fulfill his dream," Ram Charan said.

"It’s definitely one of the biggest films of Telugu cinema but we haven’t fixed any budget and [we're] ready to invest whatever the film demands because Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the dream project of my dad Chiranjeevi,” he added.

Directed by Surrender Reddy, a lot of research as gone into the making of Sye Raa, as it is a biopic on the legendary freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.

The first look teaser of the film was unveiled to celebrate the birthday of Chiranjeevi and it became the most viewed teaser in Tollywood, after clocking 12 million views in less than 24 hours.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has a bevy of stars from different film industries including Amitabh Bachchan who will be seen in a guest role. The others in the star cast are Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Kiccha Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji. R. Rathnavelu is the cameraman for this film.

The film is being bankrolled by Chiru’s son and actor Ram Charan Teja under his home banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crores. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has a bevy of stars from different film industries including Amitabh Bachchan who will be seen in a guest role. Incidentally, this film will mark the debut of music composer Amit Trivedi in the Telugu film industry.

The shooting of the biopic is expected to be wrapped up soon and is likely to hit the silver screens for Sankaranthi next year.
