The Ram Charan Teja starrer Rangasthalam, directed by Sukumar, released to packed houses last year and turned out to be one of the biggest hits in Tollywood. After nearly a year, the film’s Kannada dubbed version is gearing up for release. Jack Manju will be distributing the dubbed version under his banner. In Kannada, the film’s title will be Rangasthala, we hear. Reports say that the dubbing process is nearing completion and the release date, which may be sometime in March end, will be announced soon.

Rangasthalam, starring Ram Charan Teja and Samantha Akkineni as the lead pair, released on March 30 last year and turned out to be a massive hit. The film joined the Rs 100 crore club indicating that it was a box office success.

Devi Sri Prasad had composed music for this venture with Rathnavelu cranking the camera and Navin Nooli editing it. Rangasthalam was bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Sankar and Mohan Cherukuri under the banner Mythri Movie Makers and was distributed by Ram Charan’s Konidela Production Company.

Ram Charan and Samantha were amply supported by a star cast that included Jagapati Babu, Aadhi Pinisetty, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Naresh, Rohini and Prakash Raj.

Sources in the know say that Ram Charan has a good fan following in the Kannada speaking regions following which it was decided to release the Kannada dubbed version of Rangasthalam.

It may be noted here that Jack Manju had released the Kannada version of the Ajith starrer Vivegam in Karnataka under the title Commando. The film was directed by Siva with whom Ajith has associated with for three films so far. Vivegam is a spy thriller that was shot in various parts of Europe. The film starred Ajith in the lead role with Kajal Agarwal, Akshara Haasan, Vivek Oberoi and Aarav Chowdhury in pivotal roles.
