Finally, we got to know that Ram Charan plays a cop in RRR while Jr NTR will be seen as a forest officer.

According to a report by a leading daily, RRR is set in the pre-independence era and will be based on the epic, Ramayana. From what we hear, Ram Charan’s character in the film will be based on Rama and Jr NTR’s on Ravana.

While there is still no news about the heroines for this film, sources say that Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra are in talks with the filmmakers.

On the technical crew roped in for the project, we hear that MM Keeravani is on board to compose the tunes. Details about the rest of the star cast and crew are under wraps as of now. Kollywood director and actor Samuthirakani is already on board RRR with a crucial role.

RRR is being bankrolled by DVV Dhanayya under his banner DVV Entertainments on a budget of Rs 300 crore. Plans are on to release it in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The film’s director had made an announcement already that RRR will be a Sankaranthi 2020 release.

At the recently held 16th edition of the Harvard India Conference, Rajamouli was asked about RRR to which he replied “It will be a pan-India film because the nature of the story is like that. Please don’t ask me any more questions about the movie.”
