Superstar Rajinikanth, who was out of action for nearly 3 months is getting back to action after a much needed break. Super Star has resumed shooting for Shankar’s 2.0, a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran.
Rajinikanth returns as a scientist Vaseegaran in 2.0, and he will lock horns against Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who plays the main antagonist. The film also stars Amy Jackson and Sudhanshu Pandey in important roles.
According to sources from the film’s camp, Shankar will be shooting a song on Rajini and Amy Jackson in this schedule. And he is said to have created a huge set for this particular number.
Director Shankar is always known for shooting the songs from his films first and then starting the dialogue portion. In the case of 2.0, he hasn’t even shot one song yet and this is the first song which is being shot.
Being bankrolled by Lyca Productions on a budget of Rs. 350 crore, the film is being produced simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and is scheduled for release in 2017.
