Going by the reports doing the rounds in Tollywood, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and director Shankar are likely to attend the audio launch of the Mahesh Babu starrer Spyder.
The film will mark the Tollywood star’s debut in the Tamil film industry following which the team is planning a mega audio launch event to introduce him to the audiences of the state in a big way.
The audio launch is scheduled to take place sometime in September and the team is working on a suitable date which will be announced later officially.
Meanwhile, the team will be flying to Romania on August 24, to shoot a sequence with the lead pair Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh.
Touted to be a spy thriller in which Mahesh Babu plays an intelligence officer, the film has Bharath and SJ Suryah in pivotal roles as well with Priyadarshi Pullikonda (Telugu) and RJ Balaji (Tamil) offering comic relief.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Spyder is produced by Tagore Madhu and NV Prasad under the banner NVR Cinema. It is a high budget movie made on a budget of Rs. 110 crore.
A bilingual made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously, the film will also be released in Malayalam as its hero has a huge fan following in that state as well.
As mentioned earlier, Spyder is the debut flick of Mahesh Babu in Kollywood; therefore, the audio launch of the Tamil version will be held in Chennai on a grand scale.
According to the latest reports, there are plans to dub the film in Arabic and release it in the Gulf countries as well.
The film is slated to release worldwide on September 27.
