One of the biggest multi-starrers in the pipeline is RRR to be directed by SS Rajamouli. The film was announced last year with Ram Charan Teja and Jr NTR roped in to play the male leads. This is a casting coup in the Telugu film industry as the director has managed to rope in two of the biggest stars for the project.
The prep work to get RRR on to the floors began several months ago and with Jr NTR’s Aravinda Sametha making it to the silver screens recently and doing well, fans just can’t wait for it to be launched. However, news from the trade circles are that RRR may be launched later this year.
Ram Charan Teja is currently focusing on the Boyapati Srinu directorial and may be completed later this year. This means, he can shift his focus on the SS Rajamouli directorial only by this year end, say sources in the know.
Meanwhile, there are a lot of speculations on the two heroines to be roped in for the project. A lot of names have been thrown in to the ring as being the strong contenders, but there is still no official word on it. There is a buzz that the filmmakers are scouting for a diva from Bollywood for a special number. Talks are on with some leading ladies and it will be finalized soon.
The photo shoot of this film happened in the US a few months ago and now the director is busy with its pre-production. The shooting of RRR will begin soon and its release date is scheduled for Sankaranthi 2020. RRR is a multi-starrer that will have Jr NTR and Ram Charan Teja in the lead roles. The film’s working title is RRR, which stands for the three Rs – Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Rama Rao.
