Confusion prevails over Mahesh Babu’s project, which is to be directed by the Oopiri fame director Vamshi Paidipally. According to sources, PVP Cinemas has filed a complaint against the director for going ahead with the Mahesh Babu starrer, which is to be produced by Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt.
Though Oopiri and its Tamil version starring Nagarjuna, Tammannah and Karthi were a big hit, the producers incurred losses owing to the high amount spent on the film’s promos. Following this, director Vamsi agreed to direct another film for the same production house.
However, things took a different turn with the director opting for Mahesh Babu with the project to be financed by Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt. PVP Cinemas has now approached the Producers’ Council to sort out the issue and the current confusion is expected to be resolved in a few days.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is busy with Shambavamee and his next film is expected to be with Koratala Siva.
