A Moroccan hacking group, claiming to be the supporters of the Islamic State group, hacked the website of the Visakhapatnam chapter of the Indian Institute of Metals on Tuesday and posted comments and a picture supporting the extremist organisation's cause.

The hackers who identified themselves as "Rebel.-Team.Hackers" with a link to their Facebook page wrote text over the site's home page which read:

"Hacked By Ombre & shni3er, I'm muslim & I Love ISIS, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, F**k Chiia & Usa & israel ;) Je SuiS Muslim,

we are muslim you must respect us"

The group also posted a picture of an Islamic State fighter holding the group's flag. The group has an active page on both Facebook and Twitter.

Reports also suggest that no complaint was registered with the Visakhapatnam cyber cell and the officials in the company refused to comment on the incident.

This incident occurred as reports came in that the terror group was now in India and also hacked the the Haryana State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) website

Though the website has been restored now, the organisation's homepage, earlier showed the black flag synonymous with the terror group. It also read: "Hacked by Islamic State; We are everywhere".
