Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is done with the shooting of his maiden directorial Lucifer and the film is gearing up for release on the 28th of this month. The star has now shifted his focus to acting again and is joining the sets of his upcoming film Brother’s Day. The project commenced recently with much fanfare. A lot of celebs from the Malayalam film industry attended the event to wish the team luck.
The film will have four heroines - Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prayaga Rose Martin, Aima Rosmy Sebastian and Miya George – in the cast. Prithviraj has earlier worked with Miya in a couple of films but it will be his first time sharing screen space with the other three actors.
Brothers Day is touted to be a commercial film with massy elements. The technical crew of this film includes Nadirshah for composing music for the songs and 4 Musics for background scores, and Jithu Damodar for cinematography. The shooting of this film is expected to begin soon.
Actor Kalabhavan Shajohn will be making his directorial debut with Brother’s Day. The project was announced some time ago and it was launched finally at the St Antony’s Shrine, Kaloor in Kochi. Listin Stephen will be bankrolling the film under his banner Magic Frames on a budget of Rs 15 crore.
It may be noted here that Kalabhavan Shajohn had approached Prithviraj a couple of years ago with his script and wanted to know who would be the right choice to direct the film. And on Prithviraj’s suggestion he decided to helm the project himself. Details about the rest of the star cast and crew of this film is expected to be revealed soon.
Meanwhile, Lucifer is in post production stage. The team is also keeping up the momentum by releasing the character posters of each actor one by one, as part of the promos.
