The Baahubali star Prabhasâ€™ next outing at the theatres will be Saaho. The film is in the final stages of production and will hit the marquee on August 15. While Saaho is still under production, Prabhas began to concentrate on another project that is being helmed by Radhakrishna Kumar. Nearly half of the shooting of this film has been wrapped up and it is likely to hit the silver screens later this year or early next. Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the heroine in this entertainer.
With Saaho and the Radhakrishna Kumar directorial in different stages of production, we hear that ace producer Dil Raju has approached Prabhas for his call sheet. The actor reportedly agreed to be a part of the project but the deal hasnâ€™t been inked yet. If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Dil Raju has narrated a crazy script to Prabhas. We can expect an official confirmation soon.
It may be noted, Dil Raju has acquired the Nizam and Uttarandhra distribution rights of upcoming much-awaited movie Saaho.Dil Raju's recent production venture Maharshi has become a blockbuster hit. Directed by Vamsi Paidapally, Maharshi has been a big boost to the filmâ€™s hero Mahesh Babu.
Sahoo, directed by Sujeeth, is bankrolled by V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crores. The filmâ€™s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing the screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor. The technical crew of this film includes R Madhi for cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing. Saaho is touted to be an action entertainer with some high octane action sequences. Also, the film will have oodles of VFX which will be a treat to watch.
Prabhas' film with Radhakrishna features Pooja Hegde as the female lead and the makers have completed shooting nearly 40 per cent of the film. While most of the shoot was planned to be shot in Europe, to cut down the budget the makers are planning to erect a set at the Ramoji Film City Hyderabad. The set which is built on a budget close to Rs 30 crore will capture archaeological Italian aspect for the film. Produced by Gopikrishna Movies and UV Creations jointly, the film is slated for early 2020 release.
