A Bengaluru-based realtor has reportedly fled after he allegedly molested the minor daughter of his domestic help last week.

Fifty-one-year-old realtor Nazir Aziz has been accused of molesting the 11-year old daughter of his domestic help. He lives in Bhoopasandra, near Hebbal.

Nazir was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) after the victim’s mother Gowri (name changed) lodged a complaint at the Sanjaynagar police station on Monday.

The parents of the 11-year old girl have been working at the realtor’s house for over a year. The girl’s father is a watchman of the house.

“As the girl’s school had declared a holiday on September 17 on account of Ganesh Chaturthi, the girl accompanied Gowri when she went to Nazir’s house to work,” said the Sanjaynagar police inspector.

According to the complaint lodged by the mother, Nazir made the girl sit on his lap and sexually abused her. The mother accused the realtor of making sexual advances at her too, told the inspector.

“The incident happened while the realtor’s children and wife were at home. We have been searching for Nazir, who has been missing for the last five days. He has not contacted his family too,” said the police inspector.

A few hours after the complaint was lodged on Monday, a mob broke into and vandalised Nazir’s house and office. Following this, his wife, Mubeena filed a complaint of criminal intimidation and vandalizing their property, told the inspector.

“It is a usual reaction from people when they know of such incidents. However, the police haven’t identified the people who caused damage to the realtor’s property and threatened the family,” he said.
