The first look poster of the Vishal starrer Ayogya was posted online by the star on Monday and has become the centre of controversy. The poster, featuring Vishal, has him stylishly holding what appears to be a bottle of beer. This indeed had not gone unnoticed.

The Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S Ramadoss has slammed the actor for coming out with a poster that seems to indicate he has no social responsibility. Posting in Tamil, Ramadoss tweeted, “The first look poster in which actor Vishal appears with a beer bottle must be withdrawn. What message is Vishal trying to send to his fans? I expect social responsibility from the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam.”

S Ramadoss has been advocating for a long time that filmmakers should not include smoking or alcohol scenes in movies as it would have an adverse impact on the younger generation that idolises the heroes.

His next tweet said: “He being the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam, I have written to him asking to ban actors shown to be smoking on screen. Now, it has gone beyond smoking where he is shown with a beer bottle. What kind of social responsibility is this!”

Recently, Vijay also landed in a controversy over a poster of his latest film, Sarkar, featuring him with a cigarette. After Ramadoss censured the star for his lack of social responsibility, the poster was removed and was not used for promos.

On unveiling the first look poster of Ayogya, Vishal had tweeted: “Here We Go....the First Look from my next movie, Ayogya... GB.” The star can be seen sitting on the bonnet of a police jeep holding the bottle. It is this poster that has gone viral and attracted the attention of anti-liquor activists.

Ayogya is cop thriller that is being directed by Venkat Mohan, an associate of AR Murugadoss. In the movie, Vishal plays a cop and pairing up with him will be Rashi Khanna. It may be noted here that the film is the remake of the hit Telugu flick Temper that had Jr NTR playing the lead role.
