 A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Vijayawada for the alleged phone tapping of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders.TDP MLA from Vijayawada Uma Maheshwar Rao filed the complaint against KCR. The MLA has alleged that he had noticed several times that he and other MLAs were getting cross connections when they were in Hyderabadand, raising suspicion that their phones were being tapped. On Sunday, a TV channel had telecast the clipping of a phone conversation allegedly between Chandrababu Naidu and nominated Telangana legislator Elvis Stephenson. Naidu allegedly assured the nominated member that he is with him. "Our people briefed me. I am with you don't bother. For everything I am with you. What all they spoke we will honour," Naidu was heard as telling the legislator.Denying that it is Naidu's voice, the Andhra Pradesh government has taken the release of audio tape seriously and vowed to fight it legally, constitutionally and politically.Another FIR has been filed against KCR at the Vizag 3-town police station on the complaint of a Mr N V V Prasad under IPC Sections 464 (making a false document), Section 471 (using as genuine, a forged document or electronic record), Section 166 (public servant disobeying law) and Section 120(b) (criminal conspiracy).Speaking to The News Minute, a constable at the police station confirmed the filing of the FIR and added that legal advice would be taken on the matter.
