Panasonic’s tryst with the Indian market launching a series of budget and mid-segment smartphones continues. This time, it is the Panasonic P91 that has reached the shelves.
The new phone has a 5-inch 720x1280 pixels resolution HD IPS display. A quad-core MediaTek MT6737M SoC will be the main processor and it clocks a speed of a moderate 1.1GHz. The RAM is also low at 1GB and the internal storage 16GB expandable through a microSD card up to 128GB. Weighing 161 grams, the new smartphone from Panasonic measures 144.7mmx72.4mmx10.1mm in size.
The battery is of 2500mAh and the connectivity suite is complete with 4G VoLTE being highlighted with the eye on the Indian market. It’s a dual SIM phone, with the slots being non-hybrid.
The camera fitted on the Panasonic P91 sports an 8MP camera in the rear and a 5MP sensor in the front. However, Panasonic has ensured that the camera setup is fully endowed with the features and supports needed to make the imaging experience a little better for the users of this smartphone. Accordingly, you have the autofocus and flash supports for the rear unit. Some of the other notable modes the rear camera can be adjusted to, include scan QR codes, detect scene automatically, select scene frame, adjust exposure value, record time-lapse, portrait and professional modes.
As far as some of the special features in the phone are concerned, the company points out that they have provided a graphite film on top of the phone to prevent the device from getting heated and also protecting the circuits from getting damaged. There are also some smart gesture features to assist with the managing of the apps.
