Oppo’s previous phones were the Oppo R9s and R9s Plus and were launched in March this year. Now just 3 months ahead, the company is releasing its new set of flagships the Oppo R11 and R11 Plus and the launch date is set for June 10.

Now to the specifications and features of these 2 phones;

The Oppo R11 will sport a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display of 1920x1080pixels. An octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor will be the main CPU and the hone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The provision for a microSD slot will carry the storage up to 128GB. An out-of-the-box Android Nougat 7.1 operating system coupled with Oppo’s Color OS could give fillip to the operation of the phone.

The battery fitted on the Oppo R11 will be a 2900mAh.

It is in the optics department that the phones will want to steal the limelight, well literally.

The dual rear camera setup on the Oppo R 11 will have a 20MP sensor and a 16MP sensor placed in tandem and will deliver 2x optical zoom of images captured. Complete features like the aperture sizes of the lenses and the details of the flash provisions etc. are still to be disclosed. The front selfie camera will be equally huge at 20MP and no wonder the brand’s positioning ads highlight the selfie capabilities of the Oppo phones in general.

While Oppo has retained almost all these specifications for the Oppo R11 Plus also, the obvious differences are in the display size with the R11 Plus being a 6-inch phone. The other difference comes in the RAM as the R11 will have 6GB RAM as against 4GB on the R11 and the battery on the larger phone is substantially big at 3880mAh. Apart from these, there are no other variations between these two phones.

Interestingly, Oppo did not sell its previous versions R9s and R9s Plus phones in the US market. With such impressive credentials as listed above and knowing the fact that Oppo’s competitors from China, like ZTE and Huawei have been able to make a mark there, it is now expected that Oppo will step into that market as well.

As far as the Indian market is concerned, Oppo has already established itself and with the new flagships, it will keep pushing its case with the Indian smartphone buyers.

One will also have to wait for further announcements from the company on the pricing of the new phones.
